Endangered Couture® manufactueres all of its apparel in Canada with accedited recognized private label manufactures, who sew and cut garments in house. In the future any manufactures outside of Canada, with factories that are too far to visit must comply with a strict code of conduct and internationally recognized standards. The standards are set by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO). Factories must be SA 8000 registered, this is a certification system ensuring ethical sourcing of goods and services overseen by Social Accountability International. SA 8000 certification is conducted by third-parties such as the Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production Program (WRAP). Factories are independently monitored, ensuring that certified/registered factories will always be producing sewn goods under lawful, humane and ethical conditions.

organic cotton

Of all the fibers, cotton is the most breathable, comfortable and washable. However, traditional cotton is also full of pesticides, some of them which are known to be a cancer-causing. Organic cotton is grown pesticide free, with organic farming methods. Farms that claim to be organic must be certified by companies such as SKAL,a Dutch certifier, which was one of the first organizations to implement standards in the production and manufacturing of organic fabrics. More information can be found at the Organic Trade Association website.

future collections

Future collections will work on integrating hemp, soy and bamboo. We are interested in expanding into sweatpants, v-neck and polo shirts, tank tops, summer capris and accessories! We also will use different labeling and silkscreen on the inside of the shirt. But future shirts will be more then just silk-screened, we want to move into embroidery, jewels and wild details! Additionally we would like to manufacture pre-shrunken clothes, shrinking is not an issue! We need your support to come out with more collections! One person can make a difference and one person can help spread the word!
